Day 2-Spiritual Revival
Day 2 - Spiritual Revival
To REVIVE something means to “restore it to life” ... bring it back ... give it new strength. Revival is first personal. Don’t wait on someone else to catch fire. Seek to be renewed for YOURSELF. I’ve always believed there are 3 keys to revival ... humility, unity, and repentance. God is drawn to a heart of humility. He said in II Chronicles 7:14 that He would hear from Heaven, forgive us of our sins, and heal our land if we would do 4 things. The very first one He mentioned in this passage was ... “HUMBLE themselves”. Get YOU out of the way and God can work.
Where there is UNITY, God can operate. The apostle Paul challenged us in I Corinthians 1:10 to keep division out from among us and be UNITED in mind and thought. He went on later to say in the book of Romans that you and I should “live in harmony with one another”.
Thirdly, revival begins with REPENTANCE. Acts 3:19 sums it up by saying, “REPENT, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of REFRESHING may come from the Lord. “. Take note that REPENTANCE is made first, then REFRESHING comes. Make things right with the Lord and let the door of revival be opened in your life.
